What are the Digital Humanities? – Final project for DH306

My project plans always evolve slower than I would like, so it is no surprise that this one has followed suit. I spent hours playing with every app. imaginable and re-reading all of the assignments from the term. I’ve written and re-written this in my head more times than I can count…and finally, I decided that I really wanted to showcase this class and all of the tools we have learned. To showcase us and what we have built together – what we will continue to build together.

  1. Megan – Your final project is incisive, clever, eclectic, and inclusive. The Prezi presentation, and the YouTube videos, which includes every member of the cohort’s contribution to the class, perfectly illustrates “a constantly changing collaborative effort.” Then adding history of the class on top of this is a fantastic way of defining the digital humanities. Your presentation gives DH an excellent frame of reference for anyone who didn’t know about it before. Awesome job!

  2. Great job, Meg! This felt almost like a “way back machine” for our course. I can’t believe how much ground we covered this term, and how much we’ve all developed in relation to the digital humanities.
You’ve really nailed down defining DH, and I love that instead of just giving a definition you *showed* what it is. It was so great to see everybody’s work compiled together like this. I’m amazed and inspired by all of you!
